The HFA has a new director

Fluent Mandarin speaker Adam J Steinberg has been  announced as the Hedge Fund Association‘s new director. Steinberg is currently a specialist advisor in Beijing. He brings over 8 years of operations in China and experience of advising businesses on elements in communication which could affect their brand perception and market value. Head figures at The HFA have expressed their joy and excitement of his move. Statistics from April this year show that there are 680 hedge funds in mainland China and about fifty percent of them were founded in January 2010 showing that China is a very fast growing economy filled with investment opportunities. Steinberg has expressed his humbleness and appreciation to join the HFA.The Hedge fund investment market is still in its early stages in China and so they are still behind on American and European operational techniques. The HFA are a non profit organisation which is there to educate the world on what hedge funds are and according to their website has members ranging from brokerage firms to world financial corporations. It was founded in 1995 by Dion Friedland and have bases in twelve different countries.

Charlie Chan Capital Partners PTE Success

More news in Asia shows that Charlie Chan Capital partners PTE has seen one of their assets increase twenty percent during the fourth month of 2012. The assets bought more Asian currency and valued equities. The medium sized fund manager has seen their assets expand by twenty million dollars since it started selling and buying. The hedge fund was released on to the market at a period when markets were unstable but this surprisingly helped the fund, according to the fund founder. Experts say the reason for this was that the market went bust and left stock cheap to buy and CCCP capitalized on this.
